This thread is funny and timely since I just had procedure last Monday. For those that are simply doing this to screen for colon cancer triggered by your age be thankful that you do not have a GI condition as I do. I get the pleasure of this procedure every 2 years for the past 20 years since being diagonosed. Now, Dr wants to do it every year, give me a break!

While being prepped for procedure this time, there was what sounded like a grandfatherly aged man in next prep stall and nurse asked if he had ever had the procedure before. He replied, "Oh I had it many years ago before all this fancy high tech equipment. Dr. told me to bend over and hold onto that chair tight"

One recommendation to all who will have this done, relay to nurse and Dr. that you want plenty of medication so as not to feel or be aware of any part of it.
