After picking up the 68 L72 on my trip a few weeks ago, we decided to check out a junkyard we heard about nearby called CTC's AutoRanch. We were walking down a row towards the 68 Impalas and we walked by a 60 Impala 4 door when my brother notices it has a dealer emblem on the back that says Baldwin. I missed it as the car had been painted schoolbus yellow and they painted right over the emblem. At first I didn't really think it could be the LI Baldwin but we checked the vin number and it was a Tarrytown NY car! I have never seen one of these before, but it is definitely original to the car as the original car color was underneath it. It's a good thing they painted over the emblem, as it preserved the pot metal casting perfectly! Additionally, the emblem is bare, not chromed which I thought was interesting.. I have almost every LI dealer emblem from the 60s, but this one is the coolest yet!
