Default Re: 1969 L72 Biscayne

[ QUOTE ]
It will be restored back to factory.

Everyone remembers the car, but doesn't have any pictures of it so I have no idea what it looked like back in the day. I've tracked the history back to the guy that had it in the late seventies to early eighties. He said he bought it out of the Super Swap paper in Buffalo as an original car with a blown motor. He then had Jim Oddy build a engine for it and would bring it through the traps at 7 grand. It was Red with Bisquick in gold down the side. Raced the majority of the time at Lancaster.

Zach, cool story...I spent some time on the strip at Lancaster in the mid/late '70's. Oddy did some head work and sleeve work on a couple of motors for me, good stuff.

Do you know what dealer sold the car? I know of at least a couple of special order L72's were sold at Glen Campbell Chevrolet in Williamsville.

FWIW, the track is still in operation...good luck with the resto

Mike
