074 heads are the only factory correct ZL1 heads...there is nothing wrong with those heads on this engine...yes, that is the correct advertised compression...
ZL1 = 427 cu in and L89 = 396 cu in....same stroke different bore, thus different pistons...

Nathan...do you know how long that car has had the "stinger" hood on it?...
