[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] 1969 Z11 Pace Car when I was 14. Second car was a 1970 Plymouth Superbird when I was 16. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] ya right [/ QUOTE ] Greg...I believe he is telling the truth (am I correct Steve? ) I remember him telling the story about when he bought the Pace Car and how his dad got him confused with his older brother (did not realize he was only 14 ) [/ QUOTE ] Quite right. Here's the Z11 back in 1977. All 145 pounds of me at the time (most of that was the hairdo). I had saved every dollar I had since I was born and bought it for $2,700. One of five kids, my parents were rather frazzled and could never keep track of who was who. I thought it was kind of weird when my dad OK'd the purchase and helped sign the paperwork. When we got it home my mom says to him: "You know HE is 14 and his brother is 16!" He just looked at me with that Al Bundy, head-shaking look and walked to the living room and sat down on the couch in front of the TV. My brother ended up getting a Daytona Yellow SS396 4-speed Camaro a month later. ![]() ![]() ...and the shnozola of the Superbird in the high school parking lot circa 1979. ![]() |
