The wheels are definitely original to the car. Earl says we didn't even own a set of torches back then, he cut the brackets off the slapper bars with a hack saw.
Schonye, Everything looks GREAT in the pictures!!! Can't say how much it means to us that Sam is keeping this car day 2. I had always thought that if it was restored to original it would be like every other deuce out there and loose some of it's personality. This way it will still feel like it was once "our" car. I really can't wait to see it all back together!!
