HEY !!!! whats up with the 62 ??? Very cool. I thought all Cali gold plates had to be turned in for black plates in 63 ?

Thanks Bob,I'm having a blast hitting the local shows with it-it's a real oh nine/oh nine with complete owner(and track)history.Bruce knows the story on the car and is graciously going to do a members ride piece on it,but I need to put detailing time in under hood-nothing like your blue car but i'm working on it!
On the plates you are correct. In 63 all yellow base plates had a mandatory DMV surrender for the black base, but Cali has a YOM program for all 47-62 period plates so the bubble just made the cut. There is a bill in legislation right now to allow the 63-69 black base in the YOM program..I kinda hope they don't pass it because I have a 69Z with it's black plates I bought from the first owner who kept the reg current, but that's a bit selfish as they look great on any car...pretty much a badge of honor out here but you would be amazed at the lengths people go to attempt to duplicate the look..
