Posted an ad over at team Camaro. Check this out for pics.
http://www.camaros.net/classifieds/s...p?product=1282 I purchased a 69 Z/28 in 1976. It had been rode hard and put up wet. Aftermarket ignition, intake and exhaust etc. I knew I would want to put it back stock someday so I purchased a bunch of parts in 1978. This manifold was among those parts. Of course, not knowing the correct casting numbers, I had no idea that this was “correct” for the 1970, 71 Z , Corvette LT1, and Yenko Duece COPO vehicles. Anyway, I kept this in the box until it was installed on a DZ motor in about 1986. I drove the car at most 200 miles. It mostly sat waiting for me to get to that restoration. I disassembled the motor in 1997. Other than to shoot it with a little carb cleaner to get the fingerprints off, this manifold has not been cleaned in any way. No sand blast, no bead blast, no dipping etc. It is nearly perfect. You can see just a slight bit of rust deposit around the bolt holes. These can be cleaned up, but I wanted everyone to see just how clean this manifold was just as I removed it eight years ago. You can even see a little purplish fuel deposit if you look down the plenum area. Divider has not been touched in any way. Only the factory machine marks. Winters logo is very clear. Never been polished an any way. What appears to be a crack across on runner is simply the factory casting flash. You will be hard pressed to find a better looking intake, even if it is still in the box. There is one tiny imperfection. Up front just left of the factory freeze plug, there is a small hole about 18 inch in diameter. Not sure what is up with that, but it can be easily fixed cosmetically and will not be in a conspicuous place. Absolutely no repaired threads. All mating surfaces are PERFECT. Even the heat shield is perfect. Not even any flash rust. I have no idea what the casting date is, and I am not about to remove the heat shield to find out, so please don’t ask. Shipping will be a flat $20 to continental U.S. business address, $25 to a residence. Lynn Bilodeau 405 826-6805 |
