Default Re: Cowl Tag Question

Knappy,
1st of all, I'll make it perfectly clear that I don't know Squat about Camaros. I don't know what equipment entered production when at all. I didn't even know the tag had something on it to indicate L-78.
What I am familiar with though, is what the characters on repro tags look like. Unless the guys doing these have gotten the correct fonts for a few incorrect characters in the last year or so, I still say it looks legit to me. You say the car was sitting since about '90 or so. Why would someone put a bogus tag on a car, then leave it sit for 15 years? Did people even know those codes 15 years ago? Not trying to make an argument - just offering something to think about.
Maybe Fisher just stamped it wrong. Maybe it's a pilot L-78???

Verne
