Default Re: I want to but a new GM ZL1 block

My aluminum 427 does sound much different than my aluminum head, cast iron block 427 motor and they are pretty close in build, however I would like to build a new block ZL1 and not be afraid to break it! I have gone 11:45 et @ 118 mph in my Fathom green 69 Camaro 10 years ago when they asked me to leave the race track, due to no roll bar. I would like to build a 12-1 NEW ZL1 motor, not sure what crank I would use or stroke but build a weekend basher. I love horse power and fast cars, my latest is a blown alky 63 Vet race car!!
