[QUOTE=John Brown;1629611]Here's a picture of the block stamp. A friend WAS contemplating the purchase. His NCRS connections told him the VIN is for a March 69 build date car, but the block is stamped November 68. He's a hard pass on it.
He may regret that. I have seen a few original engine L88s that have a wider gap than this. Not saying that it is absolutely original but I do think it warrants further investigation.
