I think they realized they were shooting themselves in the foot when they first started these arrival and departure times a couple years ago. It was hurting the turnout a bit up until the point they stopped it completely for the virus.
When they finally brought it back, in the mornings for some reason, calling it a cars and coffee deal. We already have a dozen of those every week so that wasn't going to work. Especially for those like me that drive 2 hours to get there. Not driving 4 hours round trip for something that only lasts an hour or two. It had me going to 67th and Bell for a while instead.

Now, from what I understand McDonalds doesn't have anything to do with it anymore. Since it's on reservation land that complicated things, but someone stepped up and is running it now on their behalf I believe. It's actually better than before in the fact that I really like the Wolf Man Jack impersonator that is doing the music live every Saturday night. Cracks me up and brings back a lot of memories. But hopefully they lax a bit on the hour thing, it sure makes it tough for us long haulers.
