Default Turnpike Terror !!!

Was heading down the Pennsylvania Turnpike yesterday with my 11-year-old son to see The Who in Philadelphia. In between exits on the turnpike are gated access roads where state police cars and other state vehicles can access the turnpike without going all the way to the next exit. As I was eastbound on the 'pike, what did I see pulling through the access gate on the westbound side but a very, very RED 2009 Dodge Challenger. Man, talk about a great unmarked fuzzmobile! I didn't get much more than a glimpse and couldn't tell if it had Hemi markings but you can bet it wasn't the base V6 under the hood! I bet the troopers are knocking each other over for a shift in this beast. It sure made me set my cruise control!

Maybe the barracks are using this car as an incentive to write more tickets?

Can't say I blame the troopers for wanting a turn in the driver's seat.

More likely the personal car of a trooper, JMO.
Those guys like to drive fast off duty, too. I know a OHP trooper with a 4th gen f-body that can do 166mph. He said that was how fast he was going on I-80 before he ran out of road.

Indeed. This was his first concert. The kid is a walking classic rock encyclopedia and plays a pretty mean bass guitar. We had a great time together and The Who did not disappoint! Plenty of windmills from Pete!
