Default Something to do?

I am going on an unplanned/unwanted vacation for the next 3-4 weeks. It has been confirmed tonight that I will be on a temporary layoff from work. I wanted some suggestions of what I could do (car related ofcourse) without spending a lot of dough. So if anyone has any suggestions of some good places to check out on the East Coast, give me some ideas. IE. Cannonsburg PA, good old junkyards, or even museums you might recomend.

Thanks in advance,

Jed
Even Ohio isn't out of the question totally.

Ha! do what everyone else does when 'the man' packs their chute - hunt parts and sell on ebay!

If you are really laid off, with an expected "return to work" date, you can get unemployment checks for that time period, without having to look for work. Between that and the e-bay money you'll be getting, you may not want to go back to work.

Look around the house and sell stuff you do not need, always money there. One mans junk is another mans treasure

Jed, take a trip down to Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum in Sevierville, Tennessee which is just outside Gatlinburg. Very cool place to visit and not expensive.. Lots of neat cars on display there..

Another good place to go and a little closer is the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.. There are lots of neat cars on display there also.. Not just Fords but all kinds of stuff. They have the actual Presidential Limo that President Kennedy was assassinated in and some others as well.. They also have other really cool things on display from the 1950s and 60s such as an old Holiday Inn Hotel Room, 50s diner and other stuff.. I really enjoyed my visit there. You might want to take a couple of days to go through the Museum. They also have an IMax cinema there which is cool..

Good Luck, Enjoy Yourself... Stay Safe.... Rich

Thanks guys for some tips. I have never been to Hershey and it's so close. But I have been to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn and it was awsome!
