[ QUOTE ] Looks like a DH car on steroids! [/ QUOTE ] The really cool part of this car is that it contains the engine that was in Dale Earnhart Sr's car when he won the Daytona 500. Richard Childress and the Dale Earnhart pitcrew are supposed to be on hand when the car goes across the block. Full documentation on the engine also. Pretty special engine. |

[ QUOTE ] 1978 Dyno Don Drag Mustang... Okay...someone explain to me why there are spacers between the exhaust ports on the heads and the headers? [/ QUOTE ] The 351C heads had TERRIBLE!! exhaust ports so they milled off the exhaust side of the heads and fabricated straighter raised ports through the aluminum adapter plates.

[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like the seller is claiming the 3.55 gears to be original.....first time I've heard of that

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like the seller is claiming the 3.55 gears to be original.....first time I've heard of that [/ QUOTE ] Although not as common as 373 or 410, 355's are not that rare. I am not sure if is documented but i have heard of a car z with 331's. Those higher gear ratio require a wide ratio trans or they are a real dog to get going. 373 was the standard ratio for a 69 z, the others were optional.
