The K designates a McKinnon-built engine doesn´t it ? Built in April 22 as a 245 hp 350 cui (CGC) for a turbohydramatic 350 in Nova/Chevelle/Camaro/Monte Carlo/Passenger. If so then the first #1 would be the model of the car, which doesn´t make sence ! The second #1 would be the modelyear 1971. The third #1 would be the Oshawa-plant, and 539630 would be the sequencenumber of the car.
If this engine was built for an Oshawa-car then there should be four more digits on the pad, so it really doesn´t make sence. What do you all think ?

Hello Pat,
The information you listed for trim code was used only in 1969 (ZQ4) standard black vinyl trim and (972) is white paint color. What is the VIN from the Corvette? Thanks, Drew Papsun |
