Ignoring the truth is the essence of lying. It also allows the liar to magnify his lies.

[/ QUOTE ] Welcome to the federal penal system Mr Libby. Could we make room for your superiors? Good night, and good luck.

Welcome to Hell Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, now let's read the list of crimes together.

I knew that would bring you back. Ken Starr tried his best, and was unable to get a conviction on the Whitewater issue. Do I think the Clinton's are blameless? Nah Seems like ole tricky Dick lost 18 minutes of his life back somewhere that was never found either. He got pardoned, as I expect Mr. Libby will also. Mr Libby was convicted, and sentenced for perjury/lying to a grand jury by a Republican leaning prosecutor. Damn, Alberto missed that one.
You can beat on the Clintons all you like. Ole Hill may get the boot for Mr. Obama. (I can hear some anal anxiety over that one too).
I have a great deal of respect for the traditional Republican party. Everet Dirksen comes to mind. Chuck Hagel, and Chuck Grassley serving now. And while I respectfully disagree with them on many issues, I've also agreed on many. Republicans, as a rule are stoic, fiscally responsible, devoted to individual rights, and freedoms, and usually very competent. This administration is not. Most Democrats felt comfort in the knowledge after Bush was elected the first time that at least Colin Powell would steer him in the right path. Obviously he didn't listen to him, and here's where we are.
You all can hate ole Mikie Moore. I tend to think he expects it. But maybe you should go back and listen to Pat Buchanan. He's one of your own, and he's not happy with Mr. Bush.
As far as the Clinton's in Hell, now that's pretty harsh. I can think of far worse folks who ought to have their butts singed by ole beelzebob.
Let me share a personal moment that I had a couple of weeks ago that kinda speaks a little on America. I was at a parade in Long Grove for their Strawberry fest. Down the road came the color guard. Two people removed their hats as the colors passed. Me, and and old timer wearin a shirt, and hat that said"gimme that old time religion".
Patriotism makes for strange bed fellows.

I don't think you can have a politician who is normal. A normal person who doesn't have some sort of personality disorder wouldn't be attracted to the job. By the time you get to the president you weed out people who are sane. Same thing with entertainers. To get to the top you almost have to have something wrong with you mentally.

Chris, some of us polititions actually take the job in the hope that we can bring people together for the common good of all. That somewhere down the road, you will have left things better than they were, and perhaps touched someones life, and made it better. We're not all bad. But you're right about the crazy thing.
Ps: to Mr. Howie. Congrats on your first fathers/ grandfathers day.May the two of you share many more.

KIM, I cannot believe you make it sound like YOU are giving the money to the Widow out of your pocket. C'mon, be real. That person paid a premium over time. It's business and you are the middle man

[/ QUOTE ]I think there's a lot of good people at the local level of politics, but by the time you get to senators congressmen and up, most of the normal people are weeded out.
