I took my 73 Motion out today and i'm having a hard time getting it in third gear. Doesn't seam to go in all the way. It was fine last fall.

check your linkage before you pull the tranny

Make sure the shifter is adjusted with the alignment pin ( or 1/4" drill bit ) lining up straight in the slot.

I agree with Joey & SMGCO, put the alignment pin in the shifter and adjust the shift rods, this might solve all of your problems.
