Default 1967 Impala Bucket seat carpet cut....INFO

I am replacing a rug in a 67 Impala SS with bucket seats and console. Question is how the originals rugs were cut. The rug I took out had the seat track mounts just bolted into the rug. I would imagine they were cut out and flapped like a Camaro/Nova etc. Can anyone shead light on this?..BKH Thanks
