I think Wayne owns that car, but not sure if he is on the board, originally sold out of Jay Kline?

I have contact information for the first two owners of this car. The guy you met was probably the second owner, nicknamed "Coke Bottles" because of his thick glasses (trivia note: when I spoke with him in 2001, he said he still had the '427' fender emblem off the car, plus a photo of the car leaving the line with both front wheels in the air--back then, car has a fiberglass front end, stripped down for racing). I also have Polaroid pic of original POP and window sticker, and can find out pretty easily where the picture was taken (i.e. window sticker with the car now is a facsimile I made of the original). I also have a big-ass trophy "Outstanding Award" and nice plaque "Best Undercarriage" from the 2001 Seattle Roadster Show that I'll offer to the current owner for the cost of shipping.
