Definitely looks like a Bill Thomas Instant Funny Car kit to me. Love the "as found" photo of the car in the cramped garage. Please preserve that great find!

<font color="blue">That's funny. I was on Racing Junk this morning, looking for Gassers, &amp; I saw that car.
E-mailed it to a couple of freinds to see if they knew it.

The car definately looks dated back to the late sixties or seventies to me.Doesent look like a backyard project neither someone with talent and engineering in there blood worked on the car by the looks of it.My opinion is it does not look like one of the run of the mill hotrods back in that time!Hope to hear you find a lot of History on the car soon.Keep searching it will pay off!

I just asked my dad about a drag car named Novacaine and he said that he definately remembers the name... he was into drag racing and worked at his uncles Chevrolet dealership in the summer of '62. Before I told him what model car it was he said a Box body Chevy II gasser... BINGO! He said he will look through his Hot Rod mags from that era.
