What did you use to clean the firewall so that you did not ruin the markings or finish underneath? Real neat photo's!

enamel reducer...
It works like a champ... won't harm the laquer paint on the car or frame. Just go slow with paper towels or rags. I got the paint off of everything the same way... I tried a few inconspicuous places at first then went for broke.

The paint is not all that bad... it has laquer checks and a few thin spots but overall it look pretty good.

Thanks... I will have to admit that I never really was a fan of 69's but a black RS/Z with the cowl hood, endura bumper, and spoilers really looks good... I would take it any day of the week.
