I agree with Earl...that tag is from that car and thats where it belongs...so I guess someone made a YS 100 tag too ? The history on any car is extremely valuable...what a silly thing for someone to say...

Who else is confused If your car's paperwork say's it is 100 then why do you need 101 tag?

If it came from Yenko with 101 tag on it then why didn't it have 101 paperwork?

I would think that if you had paperwork that proved what the car was, then that would outweigh what the car could be.

Because his car came from Yenko with tag 101. A mistake from Yenko that I think is neat that nobody has tried to correct. My old 68 Yenko has tag # 8013 but on the vin list it is listed as #8012.

Charley,
Was that the blue '68 Yenko that Goldberg has? Did you ever drive it with that RamRod 4 shifter on the street? I'm trying to decide if to use a new one that I have for my '68 Camaro? Or maybe just put in a Comp. plus?

Yes that is the car. It had a Vertigate shifter. Worked great once you figured out how to use it.

Ed Cunneen, who heads the COPO Connection. is big into Stingers, maybe he can help you out. Possibly even issue a certificate with the right numbers or something.

...I agree with keeping the tag that "came on your car"...
...
...as for Ed... I always had a lot of help from him and still think he has been a great contributor of information and knowledge for plenty of people who visit this site
...and I have had absolutely no problems with him
...but everyone has their own reasons and I am sorry you feel the way you do about him....and I'm not asking you to explain why you feel that way....good luck
