Default 1966 CORVETTE 427 425HP COUPE 1 OWNER

I AM OFFERING MY NEWEST FIND.A 1966 NASSAU BLUE 427 425HP COUPE THAT THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAS NOT HAD OUT OF HIS GARAGE SINCE 1977.The car was ordered as most of the high horse cars with no options except the 425hp motor. The paint on the car except for a couple of small marks is very nice. The body appears to have had a very slight repair in the passenger corner. It must have been light as all of the original bonding strips are intact and the fit of the headlights and doors is very nice,it even still maintains the small "pimple" on the lip under the hood near the firewall. The interior looks good with exception of the carpet,it has worn through under the pedals. The seats are not split or torn anywhere that I can see.The dash pad looks good as well as the door panels with the exception of the driver side which has the trim piece pulled apart a little. The frame although having a light coating of surface rust is very solid without any signs of rust out.The engine turns over by hand and appears to be a '69 dated replacement with a engine code of LN and a date of what looks like G 9 8 with no vin number as it was purchased over the counter when the orginal blew up .The engine compartment has the original radiator, fan, master cylinder, coil,TI setup, intake among others. The front bumpers though off of the car were laying in the back. This car looks good as it is or great candidate for resto.Asking 45K (440)256-0820 Pancho Thompson [email protected]

Good luck with the sale... you're not going to find a real BBC Corvette for sale for $45,000. Most of the big items seem to be there (TI, Rad, top of the motor...) You can restore this car for $55,000 and still be ahead of the game.

Any paper work with this puppy?

If I had any money right now I'd be all over this....a one owner L72 Vette at this price! . I wonder if there's paperwork from the engine purchase as this gives some good insight into what you'd get when something was ordered. . The supplied unit LN suffix is '69 'Vette L68 427/400 Auto and supposedly no Vin and not a CE unit. . With '69 L68's at around 2000 cars I'd expect selling the Vinless LN motor itself would go a long way to help finance this deal? . What a beautiful car! ~ Pete

The Sept '66 #351 block would be better suited for an early '67 since they were building '67 Corvettes when that block was cast. Also, a '67 #351 block is more valuable than a '66 casting number block.
