Sorry Charlie.
They are impossible to find.
I've had these for 22 years.

And I have saved them this long, so I will just keep them another few years - NOT FOR SALE.
I am still working on the 50 or so sets of seatbelts i still have left.

I do have a few of those balancers, and many clutches.

If anyone is willing to sell me one without putting it on ebay, let me know what you want for it.

Ed...I had multiple people inquiring about mine. I have not been tracking the sale prices. Jonesy was first to inquire and I would have sold it to him if I would have gotten a clear answer from him on market value. From what I have gathered, market is 400.00-600.00. I'm guessing Jonesy knows that also but I never heard that range from him. The easiest solution was to put it on Ebay and find out for sure what market value is. If I sell it to you for 10.00 and you put it on your car are you never going to sell the car ?

Charley, I watch the '67 Z stuff closer than most and haven't seen a fan blade for sale in years, so I don't think many "know" the market for them as they don't sell in enough quantity to have generated a "market" price. Jonesy emailed me and asked me what I thought it was worth and I told him the I had no idea as one hasn't sold publicly in years. So, I can tell you that he didn't have any clue as to what it was worth. It's the same situation as my 266 distributor, the last one I saw sell publicly was 5 or 6 years ago when they were about $1,000. So what is one worth today? My guess would have been $3K...but, I had two unsolicted offers on mine for $5K in the last 2 weeks and it is not even for sale. Knowing Jonesy as I do, he is not afraid to pay what he has to for a part, but it is nearly impossible to put a price on anything today that is in the least bit rare. It's a shame you and he couldn't have worked it out as he was the one who prompted the discussion and has a good home for it on his '67 Z.

I will add that my guess as to why it is so hard to find one is that there is no part number on it, so people who have one have no idea what it is from...you figure with the number of cars sold with this fan there was/are probably 15,000 - 20,000 out there!

Charlie, its the same for any part -, ball joints, weatherstripping etc - if your doing a rare car you pay a fair price for the part - no issue with that.

I had no impresssion that anyone would offer one for sale for 10.00. If i paid you 500 for the part - would you care if i sold my car or not?

Anyhow - ebay is a source like you said - but we all know, this is not the market price when many people have more money than sense and will pay thousands for a part just to have it now, because they can afford it at any price.

I'm happy to pay a fair price, not looking for any special consideration....

mark is correct - im sure there are quite a few out there, but they dont know it - especially when these are only a 1/4 inch difference on the spacing . . . pretty hard to tell with out a part number or taking it off the clutch.

JMO..

To say Ebay is not a place to find out market price is just silly. Yes there are blips where stupid money is paid but I can't think of any better place than Ebay to find out what stuff is selling for. Plum just sold one for 400.00 so my 325.00 reserve seems very fair to me.
