Rob, Could you please explain WHO will be allowed to race on Friday(and who will NOT)
......with respect to those NOT entered in the SuperCar Reunion, but participating in the outdoor show, etc, etc.......

Basically the racing portion of the reunion is reserved for the supercars. This will be the only time most owners of these rare cars will chance a pass down the 1/4 mile, so we want to do our best to provide a safe and friendly enviroment in hopes a large number of supercars will participate.

In the past several club members have made passes in non-supercars, which has not created a problem. In fact, got to see some pretty cool cars go down the track. We encourage everyone to make the trek to the track on Friday in their musclecar, even if just to show and spectate.

My guess would be that non-supercars will have a chance to make a pass or 2, but if 500 non-supercars show up to race, the supercars will have preference, as it IS the Supercar Reunion... Rob could probably clear this up, but I have never really seen any problems with non-supercars "taking over" the race portion of the show... now those Deuces on the other hand....

I was suprised to see that non super cars will not be allowed to make runs this year I thought last year was quite a break through , In fact I was hoping to match race my daughter, my 68 RT verus her 69 Road Runner that I brought over last year, I guess if we cannot we can at least come and watch. She'd just dust the old man off anyway....

Larry, guess I did not explain myself well. Sorry. As in the past, non-supercars will be allowed to run, especially vintage iron such as yours. We want all club members to bring their muslcecar and participate, we are just trying to avoid Friday turning into an open track day for every race car in the greater St. Louis area. As Camarojoe said, the supercars will get preference (such as the Deuce shootout), but with 7-8 hours of track time available, should be more then enough for everyone. Will, maybe not Shor, Dru and Pete.

I re-read that first post, and it did read a little funky...Larry, and Steven, and Bruce, and the rest of you knuckleheads come on out Friday! That's the way it was in the past, and I don't foresee it being any different in the future! I know Rusty and some of the other Pure Stock guys are planning on being there as well, so there should be enough racing (and BS'ing! ) for EVERYONE!

We just have to be careful so we don't have every drag car in the tri-state area show up looking for a cheap test'n'tune and you sYc members and extended family/friends get slighted on track time...

I was just kidding about match racing the rental...plus I'm sure I'll be quite busy taking pics throughout the day...Ahh...nothing like Octane Booster and racing fuel the fist thing in the morning...nothing better!

Besides...I'll leave the track to the cool cars
