Original 396/325 car, owner built the 427 right but with 80's 2 bolt block,needs paint, was white vinyl top/ white interior, now black, was on ebay a while back..

I know the owner and this car personally and although not correct it was done right and looks great. He spent a lot of time and money on this car.

Hey sam, That 2 bolt block don't mean anything. They go just as fast as any 4 bolt block will.

I agree, just not as long lasting, I have a few bushel baskets full of those nice cast cranks...

??? Circle track racers prefer 2 bolt blocks. As long as you're under 500 hp or so, no difference. And cast cranks actually dampen the torsional vibrations better.

Some of the Super Stock guys like the cast cranks because they are not as heavy I believe. I don't think my motor guy ever broke a crank or block in the 70-80's running modified eliminator with a small block chevy. Use to spin them at 9,000 in those days. I think the 67 and 68 Z's were 2 bolt blocks. So don't get nervous.
