Default 1970 Ford Torino Cobra - eBay

A long time friend of mine has decided to sell his 1970 Ford Torino Cobra. 429, 4 speed. He bought this car new, it's always been garaged, and it has <25K miles on it. Painted once (not sure why, it really didn't need it ), never wrecked, rusted, butchered or abused. You would be hard pressed to find a better example of the marque anywhere. He is not computer savvy, so his daughter's mother-in-law has listed it for him on eBay - auction ends Wednesday.

Good looking car, I've always wanted one. If only I'd bought one 5 years ago, when they were 10-15K.

WOW! Bill why is he selling it? It is always a sad thing when an original owner sells his car. What dealer was it bought new at? He shouldlist in the paperwork any paperwork it has.

I couldn't agree with you more Bill. Just by reading the add, you can tell how honest your friend and family are. There is nothing but the truth, and nothing left out, not like most EBAY auctions you see today.
If I wasn't a Chevy guy through and through, I would bid on it. I very rarely get excited by the Fords of the 60's and 70's, but this one has done so. Hope your friend gets what he wants out of the car, he deserves it, heck, just look at it, BEAUTIFUL through and through.

Frank,

I'm not really sure why he is selling. He has definitely talked about it now and then over the last 10 years or so, but never seemed too serious. One thing for sure, he has driven the car very, very seldom in the past 10 to 15 years. He bought the car at Zentmeyer Ford in Oswego IL, which has been out of business for many years. And I agree, I think there could be a LOT more info in the auction that could help the car sell.

Stefano,

You've probably deduced by now I am not coming to Strats. I tried to send you a PM, but your mailbox is full. Give me a call, I'm in the phone book.
