Part of the issue is that Marty is funding the book with his own $$'s as among oher things he wants to remain free from the demands a publisher might put on the content and layout of the book. I think the question is whether there would be a better chance of recouping his investment by having a soft cover & less expensive book without as much color or a higher end coffee table type hardback book with better paper and more color. I vote for the nicer more expensive book and perhaps he could pre-sell the book to help offset some of the upfront costs of production. Also a Joel Rosen autographed limited edition could raise some additional $$'s as well. Thoughts?

He was wondering if there would be demand for a nice hard cover coffee table type book and perhaps an autographed limited edition. I'm sure there would be quite a few site members that would be very interested. [/ QUOTE ] Put me down for TWO, in HARDCOVER, with autographs. One to read a hundred times over and one to keep in mint condition. ![]() Perhaps we could donate some $$ (via Pay Pal?) to Mr. Schorr to help him get the book done--in hardcover. Just an idea. ![]() |

[/ QUOTE ]---------------------------- Well the books a long time coming---I have other"coffee table" type car books--one example "American Muscle"-Otis Chandler Collection which was done really nice--Quality etc.--Motion as well as other dealer memorabilia is still in high demand and IMO --the time is perfect for a book like this especially an autograghed edition if it materalizes---I guess they'll have to juggle some numbers on cost and get some kind of pre-order committment.----I'm in, for whatever!! ![]() OH YEAH--RICK -THANKS ---I'LL make sure if we ever meet, that I'm not standing by an open window ![]() |

No new info other what has been posted. I currently have a '69 Yenko Camaro under restoration and am finishing up a '69 Baldwin Motion Camaro and gathering parts for the eventual resoration of the Chevelle. The restoration of the Chevelle should start in '06 and should be complete for the '07 SCR.
