What engine's in the Mach? I've owned a 1970 Z28 (basically the same as a '71) and they are great cars. I have a soft spot for second generation F-Bodies so my vote is for the Z.

The Mach 1's are pretty cool as long as it is the right color.

After reading Micheal Lamm's book the "Fabulous Firebird" my impression is the Firebird was a better built, better optioned car than the Camaro of the same year. I vote for the Firebird.

Pontiac was always a cut above in trim.Chev was the price leader.

I'd say the Firebird 400 , or the Mach 1 if its got a 428.
The Fords don't handle as well as the GM' cars around this time, but still are awesome cars.

Wow.. Thanks for all the responce...

The 69 Bird is the roughest of them all and the guys is asking $11k...Its green w/black vinyl top.. The interior is dusty and not well kept but it runs good and the body is straight. (and its a 4spd!) lol

The 71 Z28 is almost mint and it has the original 350 and horseshoe shifter automatic.. (a 4spd might have sealed the deal)lol.. It also has the RS option. This guy is asking $12,500.00.
(not bad, eh?)

The 69 Mach 1 has the 351C 4V W/a Hurst shifter 4spd... Its about a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10... This guys asking in the $13's....

As you can all see, i'm not the richest guy in the world and need to stay well with-in a certain budget. (what can I say, i'm married with Children) lol

I'm trying to stay under $13k if possible and still get a quality Muscle Car worth investing into....
Thanks again...

The Cutlass is very clean and very well kept and all original. The owners are wanting $7500.00...
BUT, its not a 442.... Nice power cruiser though...

The Camaro's were much faster than the Mach 1's in the 1/4 mile... You would need a BOSS to keep up....
