LS 2 is common for the SD cars in 73 on the rad support. I think the valve under the engine may be some Calif. emissions type thing, Nice car.

Interesting valve that I have never seen, is there a GM type casting on it?

I will go take it off and get a better look.. Since the Pontiac guys don't know, I wonder if it is the remains of one of those quick oil drain things....
