Default Motor Wheel "Fly" Wheels

Decided to move my two 15x8 "Fly" wheels as I have too much stuff in the attic. Wheels were on a '65 Nova drag car in the '70s. Good condition, need to be cleaned up, but they are straight and unbent. Drilled for rim screws. Center caps are in ok shape but the plastic chrome needs to be redone. Best part? I have a COMPLETE set (enough for 4 wheels) of the one-off lugs and washers.
Looking for $500 for the whole deal. I can take some pics if interested. These wheels are rare and look INCREDIBLE on a Day Two car.

Tony

I tried to find some pics of a "Fly" but was unsuccessful, they are a very cool vintage wheel, Imagine a "Drag Star" (only "old school" and much cooler!) If I'm not mistaken these have red nylon or plastic "sandwiched" between the spokes, and are SUPER lightweight... MotorWheel made some really unique and cool wheels in the 60's. In addition to Atlas mags, Yenko offered MotorWheel Spiders (another cool wheel) in their catalog... It would be awesome to see a 69 Yenko Camaro sporting a set!... -------Motor Wheel had flys both with red plastic sandwich and without. My experience is that the front-runners (magnesium) had the plastic between the spokes and the rears (aluminum) did not. The rears had a floating spacer between the inner and outer spokes. Flys are, theoretically, reversible. Motor sort of got two wheels for the price of one that way when the back-spacing wasnt split equally.
------You are correct. They are the coolest wheels around...........Bill S

------Also back up the weight aspect.I think my front-runners with Goodyears weighed around 10 to 11 pounds!

------P.S.Forgot to mention that Motor Flys are considered drag race only wheels.Lateral stress is not recommended!Therfore, street use is frowned upon. This is especially true because all of them are around 30 years old and older. If they are rears take a long look at them, especially around the bolt holes, before you use them, even just on the strip!..........Bill S....again!

Not to pirate this thread any more than I have already, but here's a pic of what Motorwheel Spiders look like. Anyone recognize the car?
