JoeC;
Did that Chevelle have a window sticker or a bill of sale? I thought he had both, but I don't remember.

The sales contract for our car was for $4381.65. The buyer rec,d a $281.65 discount,put down $2900.00 and financed $1200.00 for 24 months at $60.08 per month.The delivery schedule shows 6 cars on the truck to Gates Chev on 4/23/69. The dealer cost of the car was $3697.73. There were 4 Camaros and 2 Chevelles on this truck. If I can figure out how to scan this document in, I will. Would be interested to find out about the other 5 cars.

Marlin on your post ** "The '69 Yenko Chevelle base price was $3,980, and with the required AM Radio option of $61.10, and SS hood, grill, rear panel... option of $150.00, had an adjusted base price of $4,191.10." **
this does not sound right to me. The Yenko Chevelle base price should be higher then the Yenko Camaro. The cost charged to the dealer for a Yenko Camaro was around $3700.00 and the Yenko Chevelle was over $4000.00 according to my info.

JoeC:
I agree with you, but the #'s that I reference came from an actual Yenko window sticker. The number seems too low, and I checked to see that it was not the transfer price.

It is not the transfer price to the participating dealer, Bob Johnson Chev, because I have the bill of sale from Yenko to B.Johnson that accompanies this window sticker. This B.O.S. has the base price as $3,375.78, and the final price as $3,763.49 after adding in the vinyl roof, 'SS' items, manual rear antenna, and AM Radio, ect. The difference between the window sticker and the B.O.S. appears to be the projected margin for B.Johnson Chev.

I will try to post these doc's.

What is the date on that window sticker? If it is very late in 1969 maybe the car was given a low price to move it after the high cost of insurance started to cause problems for Yenko sales.

There are no dates on the window stickers, but the bill of sale from Yenko to Bob Johnson Chev. is dated July 3, 1969.

This is somewhat off topic, for this thread, but on topic for a proevious discussion regarding the meaning of sYc.

Note the window sticker for the 67 lists the company as Yenko Sportscars Inc, while the car is referred to as a "Yenko Super Camaro"

Marlin, my Chevelle is getting close. I put the body on the frame the day before I came to the reunion. (It has about 2,800 hours in it now.) I plan on having it at next years reunion.
To answer your other queston, tons of paperwork, thanks to the folks on this sight I was able to find the orginal owner, who had kept everything!!
By the way I stopped in Nashville to see Cliff, he was just finishing a 427 green Nova. Have you herd about?
