I am going to have to replace the rest of the carpets in order to get things to match correctly. I guess the carpets may serve another car better at a later date.

Sometimes you just can't save items that are too far gone. I'm sure it's not for a lack of trying. Looking good Tim.

I'd have had a hard time replacing that carpet, but the new is nice Tim and does take it to another level! Somewhere there is a survivor that would love to have the old.

Once the seats are in you won't see them directly side by side. Perhaps you can get by with cleaning the rear originals ?

I agree with this. See how it looks with the seats in and the top on. The difference will be a lot less noticeable.

Yesterday was prep and shoot the dash pad day. I was wondering how the dye would compare to the other pad, along with the dash center carrier. I ordered up a couple of SEM products to prep the pad. It turned out excellent, aside from the fact there is far too much of a discrepancy in color. On the bright side, it matches the door panels really really well!
It serves as another reminder to do the whole job rather than short cut it ![]() So today I'll pull the drivers side pad, the windshield moldings, and start to prep the center dash carrier. No updates until next week sometime, as I am hitting the road to go pick up another one

SEM is great products. You are right about short cuts, they rarely work out.
