So honored to have Cale with us at the MCACN show to prove there really is a bright future in our hobby.
Congrats on the award and the recognition and consider this your "Official" Invite to join us with the finished car next year! Bashton |

Derek. Good to see you again at MCACN and view Cale's car. Enjoyed our conversation. You are young enough to be my son, and Cale could be my grandson. Proud of you guys.

It's been a while without any updates... progress slowed quite a bit after MCACN. Cabin fever set in kind of early this winter, and we got lazy.
Now we're back on it, and getting very close to paint. The hood was kind of a mess. We should have looked for a better one, but I was able to get it beat into submission. It's a big un-braced panel that you can see the bottom side of when open. My metal-work skills aren't that good, but I think it's going to look pretty decent... good enough for a High School kid. ![]() The new "smoothie" front bumper was a Christmas gift from me. |

Last night I sprayed the last coat of primer on the hood, so tonight I'll paint the edges along with the jambs of all the bumper filler panels.
Tuesday night I'll spray the bottom of the hood chassis-black, along with the inner fenders. Wednesday we should be bolting the front end all together for the final time, then start wet-sanding it for paint.

Tonight we bolt the front end together and then give this garage a good thorough cleaning!
