That tan vinyl top kills the curb appeal more than anything in my opinion.
This is by far the worst color combination available on a 1970 Chevelle.

^ wholeheartedly agree with you!

However, sometimes that's what you wanted for a street sweeper...

I'm late to the party on this car, but looking at the BAT description and the pictures of the build sheet, I have Spidey sense tingles going off about whether it's a legit LS6. But hey, what do I know.....if it is, then congrats to the BAT buyer and best of luck flipping it.

That looks like a legit Arlington build sheet to me. If someone were to give it a quick dip in some acrysol, it would lift the tar staining right out without affecting the print.

What grabbed my attention was how the bottom and left edge of the sheet was so straight given the condition of the rest of it. Regardless, it looks like it either sold by offer or was ended.

Since a 4 speed LS6 Chevelle is a bucket list car for me, I don't know that I'd care about the color. At least you know you wouldn't likely be parked to another 70 Chevelle just like it at the show.

Whereas it's the first thing that caught my eye and I hate vinyl tops!

Changing the top to black would do a lot for that car.
I like dark vinyl tops on light colored cars.

Gobi Beige with tan vinyl top is a combination I've always hated since the first time I saw one.

I think this is one car where everyone would vote for a black top swap.

Obviously, I'm in the minority here as I don't mind the color, but I'm a different guy and actually like the different colors that you don't see these days. I wouldn't have ordered that color combo, but in this day you never see that beige so I kind of dig it.
