Pete - From what I understand Cliff is still alive.
He posted on this thread #50.
Close friend has a Bristow Nova claimed to be a stage 3 car, we are hoping to try and have it authenticated by Cliff - possibly the coming summer.
I’ll keep the forum updated.

Yet one more of the ’68 Rat Patrol, looks like it had at least four different scoops through the years or more including those as previously posted pics.

A few more Old Newspaper Ads/Excerpts w/ the ‘68 Rat Patrol Camaro.
Anyone please speak up if you know when Cliff stopped racing & Rolly only was driving his cars.

Searching spelling variations including Bristo/Bristol/Bristow/Bristowe, I found a few more old Newspaper articles w/ the Rat Patrol cars. Looks like Cliff possibly did run the ‘70 ZL1 powered car before Rolly Johnston and its official racing debut 05/71, check out the below articles/excerpts w/ info + another picture of the ‘70 ZL1 Rat Patrol.

Last few Ads I had saved w/ the ZL1 powered ‘70 Rat Patrol include an 09/71 racing update also what may be Cliff advertising the car for sale cheap in Sept/Oct. ‘72, a few months after the May ‘72 fire.
Last an 08/73 Ad for what may be the car ‘equipped for the street’ which could mean minus the ZL1?
All above/below brings a few questions to mind;
- Is the ‘70 car known to exist today?
- Whether existing or not, is the Vin known?
- Being the car’s racing debut was 05/71, is it actually a ‘71 as some ads note?
Love to hear more on either of the Rat Patrol Camaros or any Cliff Bristow cars!

Pete, here is some more Bristow cars
2x LS6 Chevelles which are quite popular, showing up on Mecum a few times.
Along with some other interesting cars, especially the 71 LS6 Monte “stage-2”
