Non SS Novas with the custom exterior package had all chrome gills. SS Novas had body colored gills with a strip of chrome showing on the back edge of each gill.
Or do it the way you like it.

Mike picked up the car yesterday, it was getting dark when I finally saw it.
 I am just amazed how the kid has brought this project around, so much determination and hard work. When I was his age that would have been a waste of beer money.
