69 'Firebird power steering cooler question

Was the power steering cooler line that ran in front of the top of the radiator an available option? or a mandatory option on certain motor packages? thanks

Bottom of this Mike Noun page notes all T/A's were PS equipped w/ the PS Coolers plus all A/C Equipped '69 Firebirds got them also any Non-A/C cars w/ 3.36 or steeper gearing...
