This timing cover is a very nice original part that has been in storage since the early 70's. It came off of a 1969 Nova race car that had a 427 in it. Looking at all the parts that came with this pump, the car looks to have been an L78 built in late Jan or Feb. The last picture shows other parts that came to me in the same deal.
This timing cover is in very good original condition. I used plastic media to remove the paint without altering the original finish. If this cover was treating with evaporust or blasted with fine garnet media, it will look excellent. There are no stampings on it. I believe this is correct for 1967-1968 models since it has no nut in the center of the seal area and no dowel pin holes. This makes sense because the short block in the Nova was a 68 L89 427. $225 plus shipping. Thanks, Jason Last edited by SuperNovaSS; 05-04-2019 at 11:17 PM. |
