Original GM Muncie M-22 Rockcrusher 4 Speed Transmission NO VIN STAMP!

This is a very clean original Muncie M-22 4 speed transmission. This trans is an original M-22 close ratio heavy duty unit. This transmission was a warranty replacement or over the counter sold transmission that was made in 1971. The only stampings on the trans are CC3 38548.

This transmission was recently removed from a 1963 Corvette that was being turned into a resto-mod style car with a LS engine and 6 speed trans. The car was running and driving and the transmission functioned well. This transmission has the fine spline input shaft with no grooves and the large turbo 400 style output as shown. There are no breaks or repairs to the transmission. The only modification I see is the shifter mounting holes have been oversized and the threads look great. The internals of this transmission are very nice with no chipped gears or other issues that I can see. This would be a great replacement transmission if your original is missing.
