I am more interested in the fact that there is paperwork that lists only 3 IT and 3 RG being sold out of Kline (for 68).. Do you happen to still have the copies of the paperwork? Would you be so kind as to post it or email it to me so I can post it?

A minor point, but that seems unlikely. The car was built at Norwood in April 68 and Yenko still had to convert it. Do you still have the 68 files from Kline? Sounds interesting.

I would like to bring up a critical point to consider about the colors of the Kline cars. Two of these six cars are coded - - special paint. General Motors had a change of colors in January of 1968 with Tuxedo Black (A); Fathom Blue (E); Grecian Green (H) and Palomino Ivory (T) being discontinued and the addition of Rallye Green (J); Corvette Bronze (O); Lemans Blue (U); British Green (Z).
With this change in effect as of January, Fathom Blue was discontinued and the only way to get a discontinued color was with a - - special paint code. The main point is that Grotto Blue and especially Island Teal Blue COULD NOT have been the painted color of these two cars because these two colors were still in the line up and would have a (D) for Grotto Blue and an (F) for Island Teal Blue. The - - special paint could only be a discontinued color or another GM color. As of the last registry recorded, YS 8010 is the only Kline car not known and recorded. YS 8010 is the only car that COULD have been (F) Island Teal Blue. It is also possible that YS 8010 was a - - special paint and yet another Fathom Blue. After all, 8010 would be grouped and very close with the other two! Bryan

I believe the - - special paint code can also be for a stripe change
at least one 1968 Yenko was ordered without the nose/side stripe |

Reviewing all again after adding Kurt's note and reality to the mix, the cars @ Kline through the end of '67 and on into '68 must have been '67 Yenkos! Thanks Kurt and I don't know how we all missed this but it fits w/ the '68 cars going through Yenko also should help explain a lot of this Kline car history too. Is it possible Bob took delivery of 8016 in March '69 not '68 also it was one of the cars in the Feb '69 ad? ~ Pete

I have been reading this thread and I have some information to add.
I purchased Kline Chevrolet Camaro YS 8005 back in the mid 80s and I spent about an hour this morning looking for my notes on the car. I sold the car shortly after, but this is how the car broke down when I had it. PNT-DD Trim-717 carb-4296 # 3955295 Build- 04B Engine- CE 852599 Casting #- 3916321 Casting date- I-12-7 I do not know if any changes had been made to the car but these were the numbers and codes when I purchased it. I purchased it from the second owner and he stated that this is how he purchased it.

Thanks for chiming in Craig also sharing your info! Sounds like the car you had may be the one the obscured tag pic is from in the '68 list here at this link... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...2582#Post72582 ~ Pete
