Jim Funston Chevrolet

Looking for a pair of Jim Funston Chevrolet license plate frames.. His dealership was located on Gratiot Ave. Detroit Michigan.. Any help is appreciated...

I believe Funston used a decal and not a frame. The dealer folded in '70, I think, so they won't be easy to find.

They closed in September of '72. I worked there 'til the end and I don't think I ever saw a license frame for the dealership.

I apreciate the help Pete..... Paul years ago I had the pleasure of speaking to you over the phone about your time at the dealership I appreciate you sharing your time. Would you happen to know Lisa Marie Lyons? About a year ago she messaged me through this sight stating Jim Funston was her father and had passed away back in 2006.. Unfortunately I've visited the sight but hadn't logged in to receive my messeges. I have tried to respond to her message via her personal email listed on the site as well as through the boards with no luck.

Yes I got a couple of PM's from her around late July of 2014. We communicated back and forth a couple of times at that time and then nothing- no response. I tried a few times more but never got anything back.
