Gentlemen I have always heard that the body needs to be braced before removing the complete floors like that because the body is so unstable. Is there any truth to that. Apparently Ricks comfortable with not doing it. Just looking for the knowledge. Rick glad to see that old tired beast is getting a second chance at life. Keep the pics coming!

The guy doing this rebuild for me had just finished doing an Olds Cutlass convertible.
Other than a couple braces to attach the cowl section to the rear inner quarters, he had the body sitting on jackstands just like this one is. That car is now a beautiful finished piece, that fits together like it should. Obviously with the post sedan body, the extra bracing was not required.
