I have been looking at 57 Chevy's lately.
I had a cherry 210 two door sedan in hs, Tropical Turquoise with white top and white side panel. Been looking at color codes on this site: http://www.bestintexas.com/cars/57codes.htm The codes are all three digit numbers for both the single tone and two tone paint. However, every tag I look at has a 3 digit number followed by a letter or letters. What are the letters for? Asked for a pic of one on ebay and received this tag pic:

From the site:
<span style="font-weight: bold">822 = Dusk Pearl/Imperial Ivory Note : The first color is the upper body color, the second is the lower body color</span> Are you saying the D after 822 means the colors are reversed? I.E. 822 would be a white car with Pearl top, but 822D would be Pearl car with white top. That makes sense (so it can't be right - oh wait, we are talking GM not the gov.) I have seen many of the tags with a color code followed by a D. This is the first I have seen with the D followed by the OA.
