I was going through my messages getting some cleared out. I had tried to reach Bobby numerous times(via this site and email) after Bobby shared this PM with me-and let me know that he was on the transplant list-waiting for a heart (THIS WAS FROM 4/4/2008):
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Yea I try to remain positive but I do get frustrated sometimes when trying to do even some little things. I guess it is hard for me to learn I just can't do a lot things I used to do.I always try to look at the positive side but sometimes the frustration and depression takes over for just a little while but I don't let it get me down for long.I am a FIGHTER and will be FIGHTING all the way. I also just think of how many people have problems a lot worse than I do! Then I say a prayer for all of them and it don't take long for reality to kick back in and I am back in the positive frame of mind again,I am Blessed to be able to do what I can do because It could be a lot worse than it is. And thanks for the kind words Bruce and I hope Miss Holly is doing great. Bobby Dodson</div></div> I found this today on the net....and Bobby deserves his place here in the In Memoriam section. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Bobby Eugene Dodson was born on December 05, 1950 and died on August 20, 2008 at the age of 57. This person last resided in Porter, Texas in Montgomery County. </div></div> Bobby, you were a true car guy...and a great person as well! Rest in peace my friend...sorry we didn't get to talk more. Tough losing another car guy about 20 years too soon. Hope he's in a better place. RIP Mr Dodson.

It is a great reminder to all of us on how we all can keep a positive attitude in the worst of times. |
