Title says it all. Everything works as it should. Would LOOK correct in a 69 if you changed out the front lense, but you would have to adapt the wiring, as the connector is different. Has the blue tinted lense on it now, as it should. Knobs are not perfect, but are very nice. The chrome on the "dummy" knob is starting to wrinkle just a bit, but most of that will be hidden.
Correct for 70 Camaro and Nova. Needs nothing but a new home. One listed on ebay as a "core" for $325. Selling this one as fully working for $350 carefully packaged and shipped to your door in continental U.S. Feel free to ask questions. If I am out of line on the price, let me know.

The Blue tint lens started in 1971
1970 was green.

That is what I thought, but the tag is dated for the 70 model year.
O = 1970 1 = Chev. F = F body FB = AM/FM pushbutton 1 = first design run Got the info here:http://www.chevelles.com/radiotech/69_72tags.html

I don't think that is true. 70 Chevelle, Nova, and Impala are green. I believe 70 Camaro is blue for whatever reason. I just got this one in the other day and the lens has been on there a LONG time as you can see. is DS-501 is dated the 49th week of 1969.
Sorry to hijack your for sale thread Lynn. My radio is not for sale. Jason ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No problem Jason. I think you may be correct.
Any 70 Camaro owners out there who can confirm one way or the other? James. I plan to double box.

My 1971 Delco Radio service manual shows,
01FFP1 fits 70 1/2 Camaro only. There are 3 more model numbers used for the basic '70 AM/FM radios shared by Chevrolet, Chevelle, Monte Carlo,Camaro Chevy II and Arcadia.#01BFP1 01BFP2 01BFP3 The Firebird has a 70 1/2 model #02FFP2 and a '70 model #02FFP1. |

I recall that the original AM radio in my July 70 Van Nuys 1970 Z28 was the green face, there was a long discussion on that over at nastyz28

I believe this to be the correct faceplate. However, it is easily changed. If that is a deal breaker to anyone, I will reduce the price $30 and keep the faceplate lense. If you want a green one, you can buy this one on ebay for $26:
