Default Lug Nuts

Looking for first design lug nuts used on 5-spoke Chevy SS steel wheels. Click the link, it's the the one one the right. Condition needs to be new to used with no dents or wrench spin gouges. Thanks

Lug Nut

1970-1973 for sure, past that I don't know. GM keep the same PN when they change to the longer hex. Those were in production well into the '80's.

Were they only used on the 5 spoke Z28 style wheel or were they also used on the newer style rally wheel with the exposed lug nut?
These can be reproduced, it will not be cheap (The CORRECT Shelby lugnut is similar and was done at one time) They were near 400 for a set of 20. , however if the potential number to be sold is high enough we can do this.

The Boss lugs you were referring to are at Scott Fuller Reproductions . This guy has his act together on anything he reproduces. To bad but the capped lug for the Mustang is a 1/2-20 thread, Chevy uses a 7/16-20.

Impressive work. Boy the market would be large if someone were to make correct lug nuts for Chevy SS wheels as compared to the tiny 69 Boss market that Scott Fuller made his lug nuts for.

Hmmmmm Wonder what it would take to make these puppies!

I've only daydreamed about this, but I think the die work can be scouted out fairly easy. However, finding a steel nut on the market may be the problem; it needs to be undersize to compensate for the sheet thickness.

As an alternative I had considered machining them from high strength stainless bar stock, however after seeing the Shelby Lug Caps I have been thinking this would be a great project, just wondering the potential customer base?
Are they the same as the 70 Chevelle SS wheels, any Pontiacs use them? Trying to get a feel for quantity. 1000 sets 10000 sets? There were Approx 40,000 70-74 Z28's, if they were used for the SS wheel in 70 that would increase the demand significantly.
