Default Chevy AC Fuel Pump 59-61 High Performance 348/409

Chevrolet AC Fuel Pump Part #4799 59-61 High Performance 348/409. Primarily used in solid lifter applications. Appears that upper body has been installed but unsure if used. Lower body looks to be NOS with female threads indicating no use.
Pump is missing rocker arm spring.

Jody, If you look in the hole above the outlet you will find a date code. The year is cast in and each hash mark is a month. Also, it wasn't taken apart to remove the lever spring because it still has the original staked pivot pin.

Verne,
Thanks for your assistance. I wasn't aware of that. In fact, after looking inside the outlet, I realized this is a September of 65 - Does this make it more valuable?

Jody,
Your application is correct. '59-'61 hi-perf W motor. It was not used in production later, so this one is a replacement, however not even the NCRS guys have caught up with checking that date on pumps. It would be fine on ANY restored car with the above application. The gaskets are original as well and that's a fine point people look for. The rebuilders don't have those gaskets.
It's a rare pump. Good luck with the sale.

"This post can no longer be edited because the maximum edit time has expired."

Tried to edit, but I'm f'd again. The upper gasket HAS been changed with an early replacement, still not what is available through rebuilders today.
