1966 427 4 bolt standard bore block casting number 3869942 dated E-17-6 and front pad reads T05254D 6J276888. The block was cleaned and magged and might be able to stay standard bore. I also have the original pistons and rods for the block as well. $4000 for the set up and can be reached at 330-770-2517 for any questions or pictures needed. Can ship if you cannot pick up. Great block for a corvette, impala or biscayne. 1966 3873858 square port heads all rebuilt with a couple hundres miles on them dated I-30-5 and J-4-5. The heads are all stock and complete with H stamped rockers and poly locks. The heads have not been ported or milled and have the stock size valves built to stock specs $2750.

Wow. Cool block. Can you post a picture of the engine pad? Is the suffix actually ID not 4D?

"6J276888" would be from a 1966 full size Chevrolet built in the Janesville Wisconsin plant. A 1966 Corvette would be "6S------ for the St. Louis Mo. plant. If you google 427/425 Chevrolet suffix: ID 1966 427 425 Chevrolet SHP

I believe it is a mistamp from the factory and should be ID but was stamped as 4D. I can send a picture to your email address if you provide it. I have a hard time posting pictures on this site. I figured if someone wants to use it for a corvette they can always deck the block and get rid of the stampings. It is a real 4 bolt block by the reliefs cut out of the top of the cylinders along with the larger holes down by the oil filter.
